INCITS T10 T10 Committee
The SCSI Trade Association is not responsible for the technical standards concerning the SAS specifications. This responsibility rests with the T10 Committee. However, STA and the T10 Committee have a close working relationship. The STA focuses on identifying SAS’ marketing requirements and provides the forum to reach a consensus on features and benefits of the technology.
The role of the T10 Committee is to develop standard specifications to make it possible for those features and benefits to be implemented in commercial products.T10 is a Technical Committee of the InterNational Committee on Information Technology Standards (INCITS, pronounced “insights”). INCITS is accredited by, and operates under rules that are approved by, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). These rules are designed to insure that voluntary standards are developed by the consensus of industry groups.

Please visit the T10 Committee site for the most comprehensive location for past and present documents on the technical specifications for SAS.
