Washington DC – SCSI Trade Association (STA) will be located in booth # 1524 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Featured in the booth will be a Serial Storage Wire Newsletter (SSW) sign-up station for anyone who would like to subscribe. Read worldwide, SSW is STA’s free Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) e-newsletter.
Harry Mason, President of SCSI Trade Association and Director of Industry Marketing at LSI, will speak on Tues., March 10, from 12:20 pm to 1:00 pm in the Free Education Session. His presentation is titled: “SAS and SATA Change the Face of Enterprise Storage.” The session will be held in the Data Center Theater, booth # 1621.
The abstract of his presentation follows: “OEMs, system builders and end-users are deploying the feature-rich capabilities of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) to extend Direct Access Storage (DAS) architectures beyond the traditional usage models. Functioning as a storage solution backbone, SAS allows large numbers of either SAS and/or SATA hard disk drives to be deployed in a variety of storage application environments, effectively extending SAS into new storage realms.”
Mason will also brief several media representatives on 6Gb/s SAS while attending FOSE. Editors or reporters who would like to speak with Harry at the show, please call the STA press contact at the bottom of the page to learn his schedule and reserve a time to speak with him.
