SCSI Trade Association Announces Board of Directors for 2008

San Francisco, February 19, 2008 – The SCSI Trade Association (STA), a member-run industry association established to support and promote SCSI technology, announced their newly elected Board of Directors for 2008. Re-elected to the position as president was Harry Mason of LSI Corp., who will serve as STA president for the seventh consecutive year. Also re-elected as vice president was Martin Czekalski of Seagate Technology, who will serve in that position for a sixth term.

2008 promises to be another exciting year for Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), as volume OEM shipments continue to increase and as 6Gb/s SAS is readied for product introductions in 2009,” said Harry Mason, president of STA. “In May, 2008, STA will hold a second SAS Solutions Open House, and will continue educating and informing OEMs, integrators and end-users about SAS through our newsletter, Serial Storage Wire, now in its fifth year. STA also plans to drive more industry education on SAS technology and to continue provision of market guidance for future generations of SAS.”

Returning to the Board are Martin Or of Emulex Corp., Susan Bobholz of Intel, Don Jeanette of Fujitsu CPA, Inc., David Allen of Maxim and Paul Vogt of Xyratex. Tonya Comer of HP was re-elected following a one-year hiatus, and Cameron Brett, PMC-Sierra, was newly elected to the Board as secretary (see Board Roster below).
