STA Exhibit in Booth #139
STA member companies Adaptec, Fujitsu, HP, LSI Logic, and Maxtor will present two Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) demonstrations:
- The first is the “SAS High-performance Demonstration,” utilizing small form factor (SFF) 72GB 10K drives in servers and storage subsystems. It demonstrates the high throughput capabilities of SAS technology.
- The second is the “SAS/SATA Compatibility and Subsystem Demonstration.” The demonstration shows PCI 8-port SAS Host Bus Adapters, HostRAID, and hardware RAID – including RAID 6; 12-drive external SAS/SATA enclosure and 4-drive internal enclosure operating with 15K RPM 36GB SAS and SATA enterprise drives at 3Gb/s.
Attending Press and Analysts are cordially invited to stop by the STA booth to view the demonstrations and pick up a copy of Serial Storage Wire, the STA-produced SAS newsletter. They will be able to subscribe to the newsletter at no cost and receive all future issues via email.
