SNIA Europe educates the market on the evolution and application of storage infrastructure solutions for the data centre through education, knowledge exchange and industry thought leadership. As a Regional Affiliate of SNIA Worldwide (http://www.snia.org) , we represent storage product and solutions manufacturers and the channel community across EMEA.

SNIA Europe's mission is to promote the adoption of storage Infrastructure solutions for the data centers. This is being achieved by a coordinated series of activities at both a pan-European level and at an individual country level where SNIA Europe delivers education and information to both the vendor and user communities as a whole and provides a central voice of authority and knowledge for industry commentators (such as press and analysts) and potential users.

SNIA Europe is an active association of vendors and channel partners who share a common interest in promoting the use of networked storage (and other associated aspects of information storage) within the IT community in Europe. SNIA Europe is vendor-neutral and works with both the channel and end users of storage technologies and solutions. For more information about SNIA Europe, please visit: www.snia-europe.org.

T10 Committee — The SCSI Trade Association is not responsible for the technical standards concerning the SAS specifications. This responsibility rests with the T10 Committee. However, STA and the T10 Committee have a close working relationship. The STA focuses on identifying SAS' marketing requirements and provides the forum to reach a consensus on features and benefits found on the roadmap. [double check this link...] The role of the T10 Committee is to develop standard specificiations to make it possible for those features and benefits to be implemented in commercial products.

T10 is a Technical Committee of the InterNational Committee on Information Technology Standards (INCITS, pronounced "insights"). INCITS is accredited by, and operates under rules that are approved by, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). These rules are designed to insure that voluntary standards are developed by the consensus of industry groups.

Please visit the T10 Committee site for the most comprehensive location for past and present documents on the technical specifications for SAS.
