Initiative guarantees investment protection and generational accessibility with SAS platforms

San Francisco — April 3, 2012 — The SCSI Trade Association (STA) (http://www.scsita.org/), a member-run industry association established to support and promote SCSI technology, today announced that it has accepted SCSI Express as a formal project and has taken ownership of refining, defining and marketing this data storage industry standard initiative.

SCSI Express is an industry initiative designed to adapt storage to Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe). It utilizes the SCSI over PCIe (SOP) and PCIe architecture queuing interface (PQI) model being defined within the T10 Technical Committee.

SAN FRANCISCO - January 18, 2012 — The SCSI Trade Association (STA) (http://www.scsita.org/), a member-run industry association established to support and promote SCSI technology, today announced their newly elected Board of Directors for 2012. Re-elected to the position of STA President was Harry Mason of LSI Corp. Also re-elected was Martin Czekalski of Seagate Technology, who will serve as vice president.

Returning to the Board is Susan Bobholz of Intel, Cameron Brett of PMC-Sierra, Don Jeanette of Toshiba, Greg McSorley of Amphenol, Dan Reno of Western Digital and Alan Yoder of NetApp. Mike James of SanDisk was newly elected to the Board (see Board Roster below.)
